THE AUSTRALIAN TERRIER SONG by me

My Australian Terrier looked my way
And told me “pay attention”
“Listen to me; please obey,”
And showed me his dentition.

“I want to walk outside today
And pee on all the trees.
And it is such a lovely day
There’s no excuse you’ll freeze”

“Bring the little stool with thee
And lean it on the bush.
I’ll jump up and you will see
I’ll have a taller tush.”

“The other dogs will run away
Thinking I’m so tall.
Everyone will stop to say
Well, don’t that just take all!”

I looked at him and said “you fool,
You’ve forgotten who is boss!
I’ll not take out your stupid stool
And frisbees I will toss!”

My Aussie hung his head so low
Just listening to my rule
And I felt so mean to tell him so
And went and got the stool.
