Frank, staring at the floor of the train
was trying to listen to the refrain
that insisted on coming from his brain
(well, the part that did remain)
Clickety clack, clickety clack, clickety clack
Frank was thinking how to reply
to the lady beside him who had caught his eye.
Without her he knew that he would probably die.
But agree with her? No, he would not even try.
Clickety clack, clickety clack, clickety clack
He knew that his brain had a serious defect.
The switch from his brain to his mouth was not perfect
and would stay “on” and the mouth would then eject
and spew out the views that he knew she would reject
Clickety clack, clickety clack, clickety clack
So silent, Frank stared at his little train token
ignoring the woman who just had awoken
Franks horrid views that had to be spoken
from his brain to his mouth whose switch had been broken
Clickety clack, clickety clack, clickety clack
